    Four 2-hour virtual classes. Learn watercolor techniques and how to apply them to a painting. Techniques include washes, brush work, glazing and color mixing. Practice each skill and combine them in a final project. Students will receive a list of materials they are asked to purchase on their own prior to the start of class.     History lovers will enjoy a garden walk as your guide shares the story behind the building of Rockwood Mansion and Gardens. Topics covered include architecture of the mansion, the history of Joseph Shipley's family, and the garden's unique design.   3. Rockwood's Poetry in the Garden

    Local poet, David P. Kozinski, presents “Poems of Place." Whether it’s a rural junkyard, a city street, or a riverbank, the setting of a poem can focus the emotional scope and expand the meaning of a poem. David P. Kozinski will read and discuss poems by James Dickey, Yolanda Wisher and others in which the setting becomes a character in a mini-drama, along with some poems of his own in which place plays a key role. Bring a poem or two to share in the ‘open mic’ that will follow the reading. Outdoor program to be held on the Veranda area of the Museum. In the event of rain, we will use the covered patio area of the Museum. Registration required. Participants are required observe all posted and state safety protocols. $10, $5 for NCC residents.   4. Rockwood Paranormal Walking Tours

    Embark on an exciting new outdoor paranormal investigation of Rockwood Park. This is a rare opportunity to find out what paranormal activity may be going on outside the walls of the famously haunted mansion. Investigators get an opportunity to help in the search using sophisticated paranormal equipment. The tour meets at the mansion courtyard (museum Visitor's Entrance). Attendees must be able to traverse walks, hills, and occasional uneven surfaces of the park. This is an outdoor walking tour; no interiors of buildings are explored. Weather permitting. Please wear appropriate shoes; surfaces include grass, gravel, bricks, and paved areas. Tour begins promptly at 8:00 p.m. Maximum of 10 participants. Face masks, social distancing, temperature checks, and a brief COVID form required. Registration required. Ages 14-Adults
