    Four 2-hour virtual classes. Learn fundamental painting techniques and create a painting from still life, landscapes or colorful abstraction. Explore safe practices and technique for painting with oil. Students will receive a list of materials they are asked to purchase on their own prior to the start of class. Zoom meeting invitation and material list will be sent out after registration. Ages: 16+

  1. Leaf Art at Rockwood Park

    We are focusing on using leaves to create a variety of art projects. Participants are asked to bring scissors, a glue stick and drawing materials like pencils, markers, and crayons. This is an outdoor activity and is weather permitting. Face masks required. COVID screening form and temperature checks will be completed by Rockwood staff. Tickets $5 NCC Residents, $10 out-of-county residents.   2. Rockwood at Twilight

    Experience Rockwood in a different light-twilight. Learn about the power of observation in the light of early evening. Awaken your senses as you experience a relaxing, guided walk along a lit path as you learn about nature and history along the way. Research has found that taking an evening walk can provide beneficial health benefits that includes relaxation. Participants should wear comfortable shoes and should dress appropriately for the weather. Please bring a flashlight with you. A keepsake of the tour will be given to each participant to take home and enjoy. This is an outdoor activity and is weather permitting. Tour limited to 10 people. Social distancing will be in practice during the tour. Face masks required. COVID screening form and temperature checks will be completed by Rockwood staff. Tickets $3 NCC Residents, $6 out-of-county residents. All ages.
