    Four 2-hour virtual classes. We will explore the many ways of creating art and functional pieces with fabric and other fibers. Students will learn home and eco-friendly dyeing techniques and make small weaving, sewing and embroidery projects. Open to all levels. Students will receive a list of materials they are asked to purchase on their own prior to the start of class. Ages: 16+

    As part of New Castle County’s Comprehensive Plan effort, the Department of Land Use will host a series of four virtual workshops to inform and discuss with our residents a diverse array of topics affecting the future of the county. Our Homes & Neighborhoods will focus on the following: ? Housing affordability - What makes housing too expensive? Is there a disconnect between supply & demand? ? Social determinants of health - How does our living or working environment affect our health, well-being, and future? ? Environmental justice - How do we address the disproportionate impacts communities of color and/or less affluent neighborhoods have historically experienced from air pollution and water contamination?

    Looking for a fun family-friendly, screen-free activity? Love a good story and the great outdoors? Rockwood Park and Brandywine Hundred Library present Trail Tales! Trail Tales combines reading while walking an outdoor trail. All ages. FREE This week's trail begins in the lower parking lot and continue around the pond. This trail contains both paved and unpaved portions which are appropriate for rugged strollers. Keep in mind that the earth around the pond may be muddy.
