    Bring your broken lamp, vacuum, waffle iron, sewing machine or any one item that you can carry and work beside a volunteer experienced in repairs to fix it! Partnership with Lowe’s of Bear and the University of Delaware American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Adults, Youth 10-17 with an Adult. There are certain items that we cannot accept at the Fix It Cafe. This includes gas-powered tools (eg lawn mowers) and complex electronic devices (eg laptops). Tell us what you are bringing to the Fix It Cafe so we can be sure we can help you repair it! Volunteers needed: The Fix-It Cafe relies on its volunteers to help residents fix their broken items. If you know someone who likes to tinker and would like to help, register at - newcastlede.gov/volunteer.

At Rockwood Kids to Parks Day is a fun day full of outdoor adventures designed to help kids learn about conservation and how to become the next generation of parks stewards. 2019 Kids To Parks Activities: - Create a Wildlife Habitat - Make Art with Natural Materials - Build a Water Scope to Explore Ponds and Streams - Explore the Park on a Scavenger Hunt - Learn How to Care for Your Bike and Take a Ride in the Park (bring your bike and helmet).
