Earth Month

  1. Great Schools Clean Streams Pledge Drive

    March 27, 2019, All Day

    New Castle County's annual Great Schools, Clean Streams campaign is back! The pledge drive will run from Monday, March 25th to Friday, April 12th, 2019. Nineteen schools in New Castle will win cash prizes of up to $1,250 for school supplies and educational projects. Schools compete to collect online pledges to dispose of their used cooking oil and grease in the trash. The schools that collect the most pledges in their category will win prizes. New Castle County sponsors this contest because keeping used cooking oil out of the county sewer system helps prevent water pollution!
