The DEPARTMENT OF LAND USE AND PLANNING BOARD of New Castle County will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Gilliam Building, 67 Reads Way, New Castle, DE, beginning at 7 p.m. to consider the following applications.  The order in which the applications are listed is subject to change.

App. 2018-0674-S, North side of Pulaski Highway, 2800 feet west of Glasgow Avenue. Exploratory Major Land Development Plan, Rezoning and PLUS Review for LaGrange proposes to rezone 10.27 acres, parcels 11-026-10.202 and 11-026-20.002 from S (Suburban) and H (Historic Overlay) to CR (Commercial Retail) and H to extinguish parcel created for future pump station construction and cross access easement and construct a 43,980 S.F. retail and office space with associated improvements. Ord. 19-077 will rezone 10.27 acres from S and H to CR and H and amend the 2012 Comprehensive Development Plan consistent therewith. S and H Zoning to CR and H. CD 11. Pencader Hundred.

App. 2019-0396-T, Text amendment to amend New Castle County Code Chapter 40 Article 6 (“Sign Regulations”) regarding electronic variable messaging signs.  Ord. 19-072 is a text amendment to amend Article 6 of the Unified Development Code regarding electronic variable messaging signs (EVMS).

Considerations of rezonings may include zones other than those specified in the ordinances, and considerations for all other applications, including text amendments, may include changes other than those specified or requested in the proposals.  Time limitations will be imposed on speakers.  Information on all applications is available for public review in the Land Use Department, New Castle County Government Center, 87 Reads Way, Corporate Commons, New Castle, DE, from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
