800 Delmarva Lane – Delmarva Power & Light, Co. requests a recommendation from the Committee to the Board of Adjustment to support a Beneficial Use Appeal (Sections 40.10.360 & 40.10.370 and Division 40.31.600) as well as Resource Protection Standards variances from (1) Table 40.10.010 to disturb 0.4 acres of the 100-year floodplain (100% Protection Level required), (2) 40.10.320.F to fill the floodplain +/- 1,000 cubic yards without providing compensatory storage, (3) 40.10.330.C to increase the base flood elevation without providing mitigation (4) 40.10.320.E to construct a finished floor at 1.0 foot above the floodplain elevation (18” of freeboard required)  for construction of a pole barn and associated parking on a portion of the parcel located within the 100-year floodplain, as defined by 40.10.302.E.
