The DEPARTMENT OF LAND USE AND PLANNING BOARD of New Castle County will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Gilliam Building, 67 Reads Way, New Castle, DE, beginning at 7 p.m. to consider the following applications.  The order in which the applications are listed is subject to change.

App.2017-0532-S – Southwesterly corner of Route 273 and Edinburgh Drive. Exploratory Major Land Development Plan, and PLUS Review for Windsor Forrest Townhome Apartments proposes the consolidation of tax parcels 10-029.20-001 and 10-029.20-002, the construction of three new buildings with 35 apartment dwellings units and associated site improvements. ST and NCap Zoning. CD 7.

App. 2017-0768-S  *CONTINUED TO A FUTURE HEARING TBD
This application will not be considered at the May 1, 2018 hearing. 
South side of Middletown Odessa Rd, 745 feet east of Rt. 1. Exploratory Major Land Development Plan, and PLUS Review for Vantage Point proposes to consolidate parcels; 13-023.00-030, 13-023.00-058, 13-023.00-057, 13-023.00-056, 13-023.00-055, 13-023.00-054 and 13-023.00-053 to construct a 3 story 169,257 S.F, 127 unit senior living facility and associated improvements. NC40 Zoning. CD 12.

App. 2017-0540-S: Terminus of McCoy Road, approximately 2100 feet south of Elizabeth Lane. Exploratory Major Land Development Plan, and PLUS Review for Grays Landing proposes to develop parcel 12-026.00-008 as a Conservation Design development consisting of thirty-eight (38) single family detached lots, and associated improvements. S Zoning. CD 12.

In addition, the Department of Land Use will make a presentation regarding future updates to the New Castle County 2012 Comprehensive Plan Update. 

Considerations of rezonings may include zones other than those specified in the ordinances, and considerations for all other applications, including text amendments, may include changes other than those specified or requested in the proposals.  Time limitations will be imposed on speakers.  Information on all applications is available for public review in the Land Use Department, New Castle County Government Center, 87 Reads Way, Corporate Commons, New Castle, DE, from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
