Live Healthy New Castle County

Live Healthy New Castle County is about making it easier for everyone to live healthy and active lives. Live Healthy NCC is dedicated to increasing access to fresh and nutritious foods through the New Castle County Farmers Markets; providing affordable fitness activities, wellness programs, and health fairs at Community Recreation Centers; and encouraging residents to explore New Castle County Parks and discover the variety of free active living resources available in New Castle County.

    Middle Run Hiking Trails in this park are not paved and are somewhat hilly. There are many trails of various lengths throughout this beautiful natural area. If you are looking for a moderate workout in a gorgeous setting and a way to get those 10,000 steps in, this is the Walking Club for you. Open to all ages!

    Fit Family Fun at Glasgow Park Looking for fun ways to spend time with your family and also stay healthy? We have the perfect way! Join the Fit Family Fun club at Glasgow Park! The class includes exercise activities and games to get the family moving with sports drills, jump rope, interval training and fun games. All ages welcome. Classes are held every Wednesday starting April 24 from 5:30 to 6:15pm. Class dates are: April 24; May 1, 8, 15 Meet at the base of the sledding hill at the east end of the park and join the team from Bear/Glasgow YMCA for Fit Family Fun.

Trails in this section of the park are nice and shady and have a few very mild hills. There are many trails of various lengths throughout this beautiful natural area. All ages welcomes. Walks are held every Thursday starting April 25 from 10:30 to 11:15am. Dates of walks: April 25; May 2, 9, 16. Meet at Parking Lot C near the playground. Hosted by Bear/Glasgow YMCA.
