    Delaware Shakespeare: Midsummer Mix Tape at Rockwood Park “Mark the music!” – The Merchant of Venice Original music is a magical part of the Del Shakes experience. Join us for a joyful celebration of songs and scenes from past (and future) productions, featuring tunes by Michael Hahn, Liz Filios, Emily Schuman, and Joe Trainor. We missed you in 2020! This year, we’ve crafted a summer season of three exciting events as we get back into the groove at Rockwood Park. Come picnic in the park while enjoying programs that allow for social distancing among performers and audience members alike. We’re thrilled to “triple your Bard” this year…before the return of our mainstage Summer Festival production in 2022. All performances will last between 60-75 minutes.     Rockwood's Historic Structures Walking Tour Take a rare walk back in time to learn how the existing and lost structures of Rockwood completed a working estate. Your guide will be dressed in vintage clothing and will use vintage photographs to provide you with the history of Rockwood as you walk from structure to structure. Tour is approximately 90 minutes in length and covers approximately 1 mile to include surfaces of grass, gravel and paved areas. Comfortable walking shoes and ability to traverse locations of the tour are recommended. Face masks required, social distancing, temperature checks, and a brief COVID evaluation form. Ages 14+

    Rockwood Flow Yoga Outdoor exercise with instructor Mary Ann Quinn Hendrix. Come for an hour of fun and relaxation at Rockwood Park and learn the art of Flow Yoga. Program is offered every Tuesday beginning May 4. Please bring a mat, blocks, towel, water. All COVID protocols will be in place to include social distancing, face masks (during class), temperature checks, and a brief COVID form will be required.     Rockwood Watercolors (Adults) Participants will choose a scene from the beautiful grounds of Rockwood or an object that is chosen by the instructor and learn the technique of watercolor painting. Objective is to combine color, art and nature. No experience required. Program is for adults 16 and up. Please bring water, a chair or blanket to use during the program. Comfortable walking shoes are required. For GPS directions, please use 4651 Washington Street Extension, Wilmington, DE 19802. Call 302-395-2849 for information or assistance with registration. Instructor: Donna L. Downs, Former Art Teacher Meet your instructor, Donna Downs, in the courtyard of the Visitor's Entrance to the museum. In the event of rain, program may be held in the covered patio area of the Museum.

    Rockwood’s Apothecary Garden Tours The plants growing in Rockwood's Apothecary Garden are native plants that have been used throughout the ages for medicinal purposes. Tour the Garden and discover the connection between healing plants and the inhabitants of Rockwood Mansion. Please meet your tour guide in the courtyard. Online registration required. Participants are asked to bring a folding chair.

    Delaware Shakespeare: Rosalind X 3 at Rockwood Park The iconic lead character from As You Like It is explored through three different cultural lenses by three actor/director pairings. Part performance, part artist discussion, this unique program brings three times the joy to Shakespeare’s largest female role. We missed you in 2020!     Delaware Shakespeare: Shakespeare Poetry Slam at Rockwood Park SHAKESPEARE POETRY SLAM “I’ll teach you how to flow.” – The Tempest Rhythm, word play, and metaphor will fly as hip-hop and spoken word artists share creations inspired by Shakespeare.
