Welcome to the New Castle County Police website.  Even though our county is located in the tiny state of Delaware, we are a full service police department dedicated to protecting more than 500,000 residents in our community.        This is an intriguing time for NCCPD.  As we move toward more contemporary policing concepts, we also remember our successes in the past.  Traditionally, County Officers have employed proven and tested techniques to solve crimes and address community concerns.  Today, we utilize crime mapping and analysis to predict future injustice and, as a result, allocate resources in high crime areas.  As an innovative police agency, we constantly strive to learn the most progressive techniques to address quality of life issues.
