NCCPD Investigates Shooting, Rosehill Community Center

The New Castle County Police continue to investigate the homicide at the Rosehill Community Center in New Castle.

During the investigation, surveillance video was obtained capturing a person of interest. The video may be viewed at http://youtu.be/2AiAScD7i4c . If you recognize this person or have any information pertaining to this investigation please contact the New Castle County Police Department.

New Castle County Police identified Jamar Kilgoe, 30, from the 900 block of East 24th Street in Wilmington. as the victim of the homicide that occurred Monday afternoon at the Rosehill Community Center.

On Monday (2/16) at approximately 2:50 p.m., New Castle County Police responded to the Rosehill Community Center for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived within minutes to find Kilgoe deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

The investigation revealed the victim was in a Recording Studio located on the lower level of the Community Center when he was shot by an unknown male suspect. The suspect is described below:
African-American male, large build, last seen wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark shoes.
