The DEPARTMENT OF LAND USE AND PLANNING BOARD of New Castle County will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Gilliam Building, 67 Reads Way, New Castle, DE, beginning at 7 p.m. to consider the following applications. The order in which the applications are listed is subject to change.
App. 2017-0252-S/Z: North side Boyd’s Corner Rd. (SR 896), 1,250 feet East of Summit Bridge Rd. Exploratory Major Land Development Plan, Rezoning and PLUS Review for 451 Boyd’s Corner Road (Sentinel Self-Storage) proposes to rezone the parcel from S and NC21 to I to construct a 107,100 s.f. mini-warehouse building and 2,000 s.f. accessory office building. Ord. 17-107 will rezone 26.40cres from S (Suburban) and NC 21 (Neighborhood Conservation) to I (Industrial) and amend the Comprehensive Plan consistent therewith. CD 12.
App. 2017-0374-S: East side South DuPont Hwy. (US 13), 670 feet south of Lisa Dr. Exploratory Major Land Development Plan, Rezoning, and PLUS Review for 144 South DuPont Highway proposes to construct an 84,100 s.f. storage facility on 3.171 acre property. CR (Commercial Regional) and I (Industrial) zoning. CD 12.
App. 2017-0377-S/Z: Northeast corner Concord Pike (US 202) and Prospect Ave. Minor Land Development Plan, Rezoning and PLUS Review for 3701 Concord Pike proposes to rezone a portion of TP 06-064.00-093 from NC 6.5 to CN to combine with TP 06-064.00-092 to relocate entrance and create additional parking for existing commercial retail uses. Ord. 17-106 will rezone 0.099 acres from NC6.5 (Neighborhood Conservation) to CN (Commercial Neighborhood) and amend the Comprehensive Plan consistent therewith. CD 2.
App. 2017-0451-S: North and south sides Fieldsboro Rd., 1,000 feet east of DuPont Pkwy. (US 13). Exploratory Major Land Development Plan and PLUS Review for The Preserve at Robinson Farms proposes to extinguish a previously recorded subdivision (Application 2008-0313-S) to create a 476 lot residential community utilizing the Open Space Planned with workforce housing subdivision option. S (Suburban) zoning. CD 12.
Considerations of rezonings may include zones other than those specified in the ordinances, and considerations for all other applications, including text amendments, may include changes other than those specified or requested in the proposals. Time limitations will be imposed on speakers.
