Public Workshop Rockwood Park & Museum and the National Register of Historic Places
Presented by the Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs, this public workshop provides an opportunity to learn about what goes into a National Register of Historic Places nomination as well as its processes and procedures for updating the nomination of Rockwood Park & Museum.
Participants will learn research techniques through fun hands-on exercises including reading and extrapolating building related-information from sample historic documents. Participants will also learn how to complete architectural survey forms which are needed to update the Rockwood nomination. FREE
Join us for an amusing re-enactment of a conversation between Mrs. Anna Bringhurst and her elder daughter Bessie as they "discuss" packing for vacations and bump heads on critical societal subjects. Rockwood Museum docents play the part of these strong-willed Bringhurst women. Ages 16+
