  1. The New Castle County Public Libraries will be CLOSED  on Tuesday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday.

    Please be sure to renew your items early to avoid issues.


Tuesday, June 27th, 2017

will be the last day for the following library services at Garfield Park Library and Recreation Center:

  • Check in and Check out of library materials (including library holds)
  • Public Computer Lab Use (including Printing, Faxing, Scanning and Wireless Internet)

The Garfield Park Lending Library has been serving the community since 2008. It is located in the Garfield PAL building and shares space with the New Castle County Community Recreation Center. A collection of books and DVDs are available for checkout and a public computer lab is open for use by library cardholders. The Library and Recreation Center both offer various educational and recreational programs for children and adults.
