United Way Campaign

New Castle County's 2018 United Way campaign will run through Friday, December 15, 2017.

The United Way and its many non-profit partners work throughout our communities to ensure that every man, woman, boy and girl realizes his or her full human potential and to improve the quality of life in New Castle County.

The United Way makes it easier than ever to contribute through payroll deductions by using its secure online pledge website. You will receive an email from epledge@uwde.org with a personalized link to make your 2018 payroll deduction pledge.

You support the programs and organizations that you like. You can choose to contribute directly to the United Way, which is directing its resources to addressing three priorities: early education, college and career readiness and financial literacy.

You can choose to direct your gift to any of hundreds of partner agencies listed on the United Way of Delaware website. Or you can support any other non-profit organization by designating it by name on the online giving form. You can learn more about these options during the pledging process.

If you want to make any contribution for 2017 or would prefer to make a contribution offline rather than online, please see one of our United Way representatives for a paper form. The representatives are listed below.

All employees who contribute $52 or more for 2018 will automatically be entered into the United Way’s drawing for a 2018 Kia!

Additional United Way campaign fundraising events:

The Purchasing Section is hosting a 50/50 fundraiser. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5, and the event runs until December 15th. Please see Joanne Szostkowski on the 2nd Floor in the Government Center in the Purchasing Area for your tickets. The winner receives half the donations.

The Office of Human Resources is raffling off a Gift Card Tree, valued at over $150. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and the raffle will end on December 15th. Please see Sandy Ruth on the 2nd Floor of the Government Center for your tickets. Please call 5192 at the Human Resources door. The winner will receive the gift cards and the tree. It’s a great Christmas gift!!

The Department of Land Use is hosting a pretzel fundraiser on Wednesday, December 13th. Pretzels will be on sale in the Land Use Resource Room for $1, starting at 10 AM and running until they sell out. Please see Tamica Evans for your pretzel!

County Council will be selling hot dogs and hot chocolate on Wednesday, December 13th in the main lobby of the City/County building. As the weather turns colder, stop by for warm treats!

The Department of Special Services is raffling off monthly parking spaces at the Conner Building. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Please see Linda Levy in the Conner Building for your tickets. This event will end on December 15th.
