Candidates may use the PeopleSoft eRecruit System to search current full-time job openings and apply online. Note: Applications will not be processed for a position that is not currently posted. You will need to create a user name and password in order to apply online. Please be prepared to keep a record of your user name and password for completing future online applications. Please Note: Part-time and temporary seasonal positions require a paper application form (*see below) and are not available through New Castle County's eRecruit online application system.
The Application Process
A Human Resources representative is assigned to each position that is posted. He or she is there to assist you throughout the entire application process. You can find out the name of this person by contacting the Office of Human Resources. Qualified applicants are notified following the closing date of the job announcement regarding any testing requirements that may be involved in the process. Upon the completion of testing, you will receive a letter stating your final score and your ranking on the eligible list, if applicable. All eligible lists remain in effect for a period of one year.
*If you are interested in a posted part-time position, you must print a paper application and submit it according to the specific instructions for that position. Application forms may also be picked up at any New Castle County Library. Applications will not be processed for a position that is not currently posted. If you are interested in more than one position, you must submit a separate application for each position.
