September 13 and 14, 2016 UDC Public Workshop and Focus Group Meetings Held

The Department of Land Use hosted a Public Workshop and Focus Group Meetings for the next phase of identifying and instituting necessary changes to the UDC. Those attending worked with us to review ideas regarding Phase III concepts being considered in the Unified Development Code (UDC) Update relating to Process and Site Design Standards. Ordinances Introduced
At the Council meeting of September 29, 2015, the following ordinances were introduced that seek to adopt principles for guiding development, as well as regulations for neighborhood preservation overlay districts and economic empowerment districts.

The third of our public workshops was held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. We began discussions of Healthy Communities and Placemaking, as well as Development Standards, and updated attendees on the status of Economic Empowerment Districts, Neighborhood Preservation Overlays and Guiding Principles.

Three public workshops have now been held to discuss shaping Future Land Use and the Unified Development Code.  We thank all of those who have come out to participate.
